As a voice teacher, Tony specializes in the Bel Canto School of classical vocal technique, advocating its principles for singers of all genres. He believes that ‘A solid foundation of healthy singing with proper technique provides all vocalists with the bedrock needed to maintain their voice for a lifetime.’

Tony is on the voice faculty at Sarah Jane's Music School in Minneapolis and also teaches in his private
studio. He has been teaching voice for twenty-five years.

Tony studied classical voice under renowned instructors including Maestro Wayne Conner (Curtis Institute), Jeanne Grace, Lois Darling, Mary Vaughn, Dr. James Ward, and Maestro Constantine Callinicos (Mario Lanza’s operatic coach, conductor, and accompanist).
