Tony Partington

About the Artist...

Over the past thirty years Tony Partington has enjoyed a successful career as a
singer, actor, director lighting designer and artistic director. As a vocalist,
he has performed at the TRUMP PLAZA in Atlantic City, NJ, Philadelphia's NEW
CENTURY GUILD HALL, Virginia's famed HOMESTEAD RESORT, Florida's historic
DIXIE THEATRE and in Jamaica, West Indies at the JAMAICA-JAMAICA RESORT. He created the role of President Truman's Aide in the opera HERE I STAND and has also
performed with the Curtis Institute Opera in Philadelphia and the Philmont Opera
in Wilmington, Delaware in numerous operas. Additionally, Mr. Partington enjoyed
a guest appearance with Jay Black & The Americans at the historic Valley
Forge Music Fair. Mr. Partington has studied classical voice with Wayne Conner
(of the Curits Institute), Jeanne Grace, Lois Darling, Mary Vaughn and Maestro
Constantine Callinicos (Mario Lanza's operatic coach, conductor and
accompanist).

He produced and hosted the award winning weekly series "Singer's Spotlight" for National Public Radio and has produced, performed and directed both theatre and opera throughout the country. Mr. Partington was, from 1989 through 1992, the Associate Artistic Director of The Barter Theatre (the State Theatre of Virginia).

As an actor and singer, Mr. Partington has appeared in regional theatre and on film and television. Credits include:
DEAD POETS SOCIETY with Robin Williams, KAHN THE WARRIOR, ALL MY SONS, THE FANTASTICKS, JACQUES BREL, OH, COWARD the World Premieres of BROADWAY TO HOLLYWOOD and A TENOR ON BROADWAY. He also starred in
NBC-TV's UNSOLVED MYSTERIES.

In addition to the performing arts, Mr. Partington enjoys a career in healthcare, most specifically; vascular therapies and surgery. He is a CMA, RMA and Surgical First Assist.
