Over the past forty years Tony Partington has enjoyed a successful career as a singer, actor, director and producer. As a vocalist, he has headlined at HARRAH'S BOARDWALK in Atlantic City, NJ, Philadelphia's NEW CENTURY GUILD HALL, Virginia's famed HOMESTEAD RESORT, THE BARTER THEATRE, Florida's historic DIXIE THEATRE, PORT THEATRE He has performed with the Curtis Institute Opera in Philadelphia and the Philmont Opera in Wilmington, Delaware. Mr. Partington studied classical voice with Wayne Conner (of the Curits Institute), Jeanne Grace, Lois Darling, Mary Vaughn andMaestro Constantine Callinicos (Mario Lanza's operatic coach, conductor and accompanist). Tony performs extensively as both a solo artist and as the lead vocalist of the popular musical group THE RECOLLECTIONS. Tony produced and hosted the award winning weekly series "Singer's Spotlight" for National Public Radio and has produced, performed and directed both theatre and opera throughout the country. Mr. Partington was, from 1989 through 1992, the Associate Artistic Director of The Barter Theatre (the State Theatre of Virginia).
As an actor and singer, Mr. Partington has appeared in regional theatre, in film and television. Credits include: DEAD POETS SOCIETY with Robin Williams, KAHN THE WARRIOR, ALL MY SONS, THE FANTASTICKS, JACQUES BREL, OH, COWARD the World Premieres of BROADWAY TO HOLLYWOOD and A TENOR ON BROADWAY. He also starred in NBC-TV's UNSOLVED MYSTERIES.
Mr. Partington is a member of SAG-AFTRA, Actors' Equity Association and NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) and teaches and coaches voice in his private studio.
